Limestone Mantel with Foliate Scroll Frieze and Acanthus Corbels

An elegantly proportioned reclaimed limestone mantel. Trailing scrolls and open roses are carved in low relief across the frieze, then gathered at each corner by a small acanthus corbel above gently tapered legs. Look closely at the grey cream stone and you find fine mineral veining along with the soft abrasion that only long use leaves behind.
